This section for the time being will be dedicated to posting, (in our very limited capacity,) copies of the written
product, of an editorial nature, from just a few of the people and organizations that are/have contributed/ing to
keeping important thoughts, ideals, and issues in front of the people.
We are not alone, we can do better, we will not allow ourselves to go quietly into the night.
If you have an editorial on an issue that you would like us to consider posting on this site, please contact us
and let us know.
(This page and the statement below was created January
2006, in general I believe there has been some slight improvements made over the past few years, "with some very
good work done"...however serious problems remain, and no level of improvement needed able to address the pressing needs
of humanity, in the time-lines required, have been detected by this page's creator.) It seems to me, just my opinion, that the folks calling the shots down at the Oregonian have
a certain confusion when it comes to how to develop consistent content, by which I mean separating hurtful, irresponsible journalistic propaganda pieces, from those that contribute to meaningful dialog and benefit to the community. This is nothing new, it has been an ongoing complaint for over 20 years among the progressive/activist
communities. Recently, it has appeared that once again the Oregonian is veering off in a wrong direction. Adding a few more
conservative writers to it's list of contributers. This in and of itself does not indicate
a further loss of touch with responsible journalistic standards, but when combined with
recent locally produced stories, that in my humble opinion, were propaganda pieces of the worse sort, I believe they are already
well on the way to producing results that will harm innocent people. The story that is most recently on my mind was the 2nd
part, I believe, of a two part series on social security issues. It dealt with social
security fraud. The others were a couple of recent editorial pieces put out by George Will, that
I found to be intellectually failed, in various and obvious ways. It is the combination of flawed content combined with these
recent staff additions that leads me to believe that once again the Oregonian "may be" going to alienate more of
it's shrinking reader base, as well as mobilizing the activist communities in our area to work again towards a boycott.(Since
writing this back in 2006, improvements have been made..You "will" still regularly, but perhaps a little less
frequently, see pieces from both in house writers, and outside sources that are "in my opinion" intellectual
garbage. It is the inclusions of these flawed materials that has kept the Oregonian from being the type of needed source
of information that is capable of actually helping prevent some of the worst of the scenarios coming down the road. "Diluted/chaotic
focus and message." I have chosen to list Oregonian articles here because I think it is appropriate to show the
good work that the Oregonian does do, it's easy, and non-activist types are comfortable with the source. Got to start somewhere
;-) Other links ect.. on this site can/will help take people further down the path of self help/knowledge . CSM
We found the following to be a very solid piece..
It hits several "truths/realities right on the head.
Posted 8/3/10 These two "brief" articles are not editorials, but we
feel that it is important to post them as they provide a source of independent confirmation on a couple of interlocking
areas of our focus. We are aware that some viewers or readers of the materials on our site are hostile to our perspectives,
research, predictions ect.... anything we can do to continue the process of getting people to wake up, to begin using their
powers of observation and reason to engage in a more productive social/environmental actions/communications must be attempted
for as long as we are able to do so. These
articles appeared in the Oregonian News Publication, in the "Around the Nation" section, last week
or so in July, 2010.

What follows is a story covered by the
Oregonian--Not bad at all. The Tigard Times just white washed the whole affair. Another far more comprehensive coverage of this story was put forth by the Willamette Week, August
5th, 2009 issue. Story called "To Catch a Stoner". Go to "wweek.com" Go to their "Cover Story" web
page. When we have police in action that routinely demonstrate that they either have no functional awareness or respect
of our nations fundamental legal principles, being hired and em-placed/empowered by those that demonstrate a complete lack
or respect or functional awareness of our Constitution or Bill of Rights you end up with a gang of thugs with badges.
When you study the history of the Tigard police dept, you find indicators of racism, and thuggish disregard of American principles
of justice. Do a word search of the Tigard skate park "Personal Search" issue for further examples of the outlandish
behavior of this department. I would personally very much like to see a Federal
Investigation of this Dept, I believe such an investigation could conclude that this Department engaged in identity theft
or defamatory behavior. I believe the above news coverage indicates the existence of a dept. perfectly capable, and perhaps
guilty of framing, or helping to frame innocent people for crimes they did not commit, I know of "at
least" one potential instance of this. A Federal investigation into this/these matter/s would serve the Tigard community
well.

What follows is another good piece, my only
problem with it is my concern that the author or perhaps the editors down at the Oregonian are concerned with offending the
powers that be, and as such, instead of saying "Racism" uses such touchy feely terms as
"cultural bias"? There are other serious problems as well when you have a district like TTSD with issues of
"cultural bias" present...it goes beyond racism, it can encompass a process of dscriminatory approaches and protocals
for anyone or any group that falls outside the cultural norms of the Tigard/effected community, this can be due to financial
issues "low income" families, families with unique life experiences ect.. I had to pull this off the web, the
original hard copy had some very useful graphs. I will switch out this version with the hard copy version as soon as I get
my hands on it.

This recent editorial appeared in the Oregonian
newspapers Parade magazine March 29th. We had to crop it to make it fit,
but I thought it was too important to show this piece appearing in a main stream media source. About
time, great editorial.
This editorial appeared in the January 17th, 2009 copy
of the Oregonian Newspaper.

The article below is not an editorial but it is important none the less.
